An artist born in New York, USA, in 1955, hails from Iraq, Baghdad. He graduated in civil engineering from Baghdad University in 1977 and pursued building management in London in 1980 before transitioning to painting. Notably, one of his paintings was recently acquired by the British Museum. The late art critic Jabra I. Jabra remarked on Ata's work, stating, "...No matter how experimental and unsettled, the works' disturbing qualities soon present themselves. These are works that belong to some dark area in the inner self untouched by the conscious, haunting those who stare at them." Currently, Sina Ata is based in Amman, Jordan, and Dubai, UAE, serving as a creative consultant.
